Two great examples of how the Civil War's rich history makes it a great historic period to use to parody modren communications practices

So I have a thesis now. That the rich detailed history of day to day occurances of the US Civil War, it’s recency and the high percentage of people that know about it, make it an ideal candidate for demonstrating the fact that many communications systems are really not all that ground breaking when taken out of context of them being new.
